Smart wood Czech, s.r.o. - potravinářská dřívka a dřevné bukové brikety
The smart wood company is a French family business that builds on the experience of the SIB company. The production and sales structure consists of several production and distribution plants spread over all five continents. It was originally composed of 4 production plants in France, the Czech Republic, Romania and Turkey. It covered global demand with two distribution plants in Australia and Mexico, and in June 2016 a North American company was established in Corbin, Kentucky, based on the growing demand for quality firewood and just-in-time delivery capabilities. In January 2017, the group, then still called EUROSTICKS, consolidates its position as a world leader in the field of industrial production of popsicle sticks and coffee stirrers, and acquires the competing plant KNAUF in Germany. Euro and Knauf sticks have a common basis; they are naturally environmentally friendly and a high level of technological know-how that is constantly being improved. Group President Frederic Debacker states: "More than ever, our ambition is to provide our clients with a lasting partnership and to meet the quality and traceability requirements of an environmentally friendly product. We are promoting our "Green" Strategy, including PEFC, FSC certifications. Thank you very much to our clients for their trust and for the fact that we are and will always be their first choice». The company headquarters is located in France with overall responsibility for sales, production and development. The production plants work continuously throughout the year with an annual capacity of 15 billion units. The group employs 750 employees and supplies products to more than 170 clients in 60 countries around the world. In December 2017, it was renamed to smart wood with a new brand name.
