Siempelkamp delivers particleboard plant to Thailand

Green River Panels invests into a new particleboard plant close to Trang in South Thailand, the center of the Thai latex production with extensive rubberwood plantations. The company placed an order with Siempelkamp for the entire production plant. Green River Panels is scheduled to commence operation in the third quarter of 2019.

Accrding  to the announcement, Siempelkamp will supply the components for the forming and press line as well as the board handling equipment including the intermediate storage. With a length of 50.4 m this continuous press will be the longest press in Asia.

The plant is designed for a daily capacity of 2,800 m² of particleboard; the installation start is scheduled for October 2018. With the new production site Green River Panels will double its production capacity for particleboard in order to meet the constantly growing demand of the Asian market.

Sicoplan, the Belgium Siempelkamp subsidiary, will provide the overall planning of the plant.

Büttner, the specialist for dryer and energy plants within the Siempelkamp Group, will supply Asia’s largest energy plant with a furnace capacity of 95 MW, as well as Asia’s largest drum dryer with a diameter of 7 m and a length of 36 m.

Pallmann contributes the technology for the wood yard, CMC from Italy the screening technology, the resin kitchen, and the other resin blending system components including the new Ecoresinator P, which offers resin savings of up to 10%.
