The latest WOOD MARKETS annual survey of the "top 20" Canadian and U.S. lumber producers shows that West Fraser Timber has retained its title of being North America's largest softwood lumber producer in 2011 with 4.91 billion board feet. Germany has exported significantly more oak round timber to Sweden than in 2010. With over 14,000 cbm the increase was of 46%. The export to Denmark fell significantly. There were 4,600 cbm less exported. A minus of 30%. The export volume to France was almost the same as the one to Denmark.
